Look at a physical sample
Screen images cannot reliably show exact color or texture. Ask to see a relevant sample and discuss normal variation. Explain whether the surface will be shaded, wet, exposed to irrigation or used barefoot. A pattern that looks attractive in a photograph may not meet your practical needs.
Keep structural scope separate
Stamping is a surface treatment, not a substitute for an appropriate base, thickness, reinforcement or joint plan. Ask how the pattern will meet edges, drains and other paving. Confirm whether color is integral, applied or combined, and request instructions for the specific finish system.
Plan the ownership work
Ask about resealing indicators, cleaning products, traction treatments and who handles maintenance. Get any warranty terms in writing from the provider. This website does not guarantee appearance, workmanship or maintenance intervals.
Understand what changes cost and timing
Pattern complexity, border work, color method, surface preparation and sealing can change the quote. Compare the decorative treatment separately from the underlying slab work. Ask when sample approval is needed and how weather or finish-system requirements affect the sequence; get the provider’s instructions for first use and later maintenance.
What to expect from the project conversation
When you call, describe your address, intended use and approximate dimensions. An independent provider, if available for the address and work, must assess the site, confirm the offered service and explain its quote and terms. Ask for scope, exclusions, approval responsibilities and payment terms in writing before agreeing to work.
